Good morning principal, vice principal, students and teachers, of Anglican High.

my speech today will be on whether gaming should be included as a subject!

Firstly, i strongly believe in different talents that each individuals possesses. For example, some are more inclined to languages, while some are stronger in Math. It isn't surprising some are just born for gaming - making games and playing them. Every parent will want to witness their own child succeeding, and if their child is not given a chance, how would that be possible? Making games and playing games can just be as educational. While playing games stimulates the brain, it also allows the player to enter a different world apart from the cruel reality that many are afraid to face. Come to think of it, gaming can help instead of harm.

Therefore, with this, rewards should he given to those with talents in gaming. Like bursaries and scholarships, rewards can be given so as to boost the confidence of those not striving in their acadamics, but rather in gameing - something they are good at. Hence with these, i would strongly suggest the implementing of "gaming" as an official subject in our school.

im gonna do on Mahatma Gandhi. He's a very famous guy (means ur stupid if u duno him, nah jk), only because he did a lot of noble stuff and saved the world (literally). He is definitely someone worthy of my respect and worthy of everyone's respect. If it were u, would u give up a high paying job just to bring peace to this world? No right? BUT HE DID!

He was trained to be a lawyer (credits to Mr Ben Tan, Anglican High School), and can be one, earning big bucks now living a comfortable life. BUT HE DINT. He chose to return to India and organized poor farmers and labourers to protest against oppressive taxation and widespread discrimination.

Gandhi led nationwide campaigns for the alleviation of poverty, for the liberation of women, for brotherhood amongst differing religions and ethnicities, for an end to untouchability and caste discrimination, and for the economic self-sufficiency of the nation, but above all for Swaraj — the independence of India from foreign domination.

Throughout his life, Gandhi remained committed to non-violence and truth even in the most extreme situations. A student of Hindu philosophy, he lived simply, organizing an ashram that was self-sufficient in its needs. Making his own clothes — the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl woven with a charkha, he lived on a simple vegetarian diet. He used rigorous fasts, for long periods, for both self-purification and protest.

Believed i had answered the first two qns which im supposed to, i shall now move on to part 3. Moving on..

3.What makes this person considered 'crazy'?

Answer: He is definitely crazy la, who would give up fame and fortune to choose to help people in need, help the poor, help the world?? Would u? I dun think i would. Im not as noble. But that doesn mean i suck, because what he did was beyond what a normal man would do. Yea and because of what he did, that seemed abnormal, he is considered CRAZY.

god..been years since i updated. my comp spoiled and i haven touched my comp for a few days =(. i tried reformatting for the first time and wooo, yes the reformat was a success, but in the end i had to install all the graphic cards, sound cards etc stuff. Wasnt very good at this kinda thing, but have to learn. Now i still need a sound card if not i can only hear "beeps" on my comp, and that sound is eerie. oh well.

second on the list to get back my dota game. duno who has the dota cd and the cracks, but i know things aint looking good, so unless i get a real cd, i wun be playing dota anymore. not that i dun wan to..but no one wants to help me. so nvm, even if i rilli have to quit dota, looking on the bright side, i formed this statement to equate my studies with dota. As the amount of Dota level increases, the studies level will decrease. Vice versa.

so now the only game i got on my comp is Maple. yea its a fun game, dun haf to think so much, can stop anytime, unlike dota have to play for one full game which takes around an hour. Leaving makes u a loser. argh but its a nice game, especially during the holiday when u got lots of time. dotaa...

ok so now i still need
1) sound card driver installation cd
2) any anti virus installation cd

ok im willing to pay a small amt if u lend me the cd. im not buying, so i wun be expected to pay the full price. so thanks guys if ur willing to lend me urs. sound card is definitely more important!!!! ty ty!

Originality.

Originality is the aspect of created or invented works as being new or novel, and thus can be distinguished from reproductions, clones, forgeries, or derivative works. An original work is one not received from others nor one copied based on the work of others. The term "originality" is often applied as a compliment to the creativity of artists, writers, and thinkers. I got this definition from Wikipedia.

Being original is very fun. u get to try new stuff. but its hard to be original, coz u will definitely be doing something one way similar to another. ok i duno wad im toking, but i juz feel like toking abt originality. hmm, being original makes u feel proud of ur work, once u get an idea of sth that no ones has ever thought of. not saying i have never copied before, juz saying i tried to be original.

talking about law, originality is sth more serious. copying some one's work can be charged for intellectual property rights. yea tats wad u get for copying. like the 9 o clock show i juz watched. in the fashion designing industry own design tio stolen. rilli pisses pple off. if u wanna be good think out of the box and get ur own design man. copying = coward (k makes no sense)

ok so i hope this world got many original pple so singapore can come up with lots of cool new interesting creative inventions. and make singapore proud.

topic: opinions on capital punishment

i dun quite like the idea of capital punishment cause it involves killing. but of course since ur not the one u'll probably be heck caring. but hey. wad if u were on the death row one day. thought abt it before? wad if u were framed for sth u din do at all, and the punishment is death. man tat will be dam sad.

the idea of capital punishment (i suppose) is to make sure that the person pay for his ultra sinful crime, or not let it commit crimes again. but im sure there are others way of punishment, except death. it is way too cruel, and painful, unless they use some less painful ways like putting u in a house filled with leaked gas. but singapore hangs.

i learnt that not many countries have capital punishment, some has, but doesn carry it out. but hey!!! singapore has capital punishment and singapore is pratically SPAMMING it! (yes, thats wad makes singaporeans special) i dun understand why singapore wanted capital punishment. china has it too i think, but i think its ok, since they got such a high population, killing some no harm, can punish them, and can reduce their population too. BUT WHY SINGAPORE

oh man i tink singapore is way too civilised to allow capital punishment. taking some one's life is a serious matter. and i tink there are less painful and cruel ways to do it. as mr tan said, we dun haf the right to take some one's life. yea i tink tats true. u did not create that life, so u dun haf the right to destroy it.

i got a few suggestions to replace capital punishment, it gotta fufil the purposes of capital punishment in the first place which is to make sure the guy cant commit the crime again, or pay for his ultra sinful act

1) paralyze him
2) make him a vegetable
3) life imprisonment?

doesn this punishments sounds more humane. i dun tink its painful, but he get to pay for his crime. and singapore's population is alr ageing liao, still kill summore, and wanted the population to be 6.5million. at this rate it will go below 4!! no la im juz joking. so anyway, im against capital punishment.

thats not all! i had played audition before, and one of audition's song was blackout house, which was re edited from this song. And when i went to get the lyrics for Blackout House, i came across this vulgar and cool and emo and punky - rocky song which i feel is not bad. It does not have a regular beat (or melody, im not a musician), and its kinda rapp-ish, which Hong Kai will like a lot =D i seldom listen to english song, partly because i come from a chinese speaking family, so english songs isnt my type, not to talk abt raps. eh this song is a rap right?

sry for censoring out the vulgars even though mr tan asked me not to, but im way scared of the government. i remembers some one got charged for putting sth racist, so i rather choose to walk on the safe side. but i think after censoring it's still pretty obvious. (off topic paragraph)

hiya! todays topic gonna be on..eating! Note: it may seem long, but it seems interesting to me

We live in an image conscious culture, which urges all of us (especially women) to improve our appearance. Although many of us would benefit from eating a bit less and exercising more in order improve our health and fitness, simply watching what you eat is NOT an eating disorder. Eating Disorders are potentially life-threatening illnesses which are simultaneously psychological and physical in nature. They are characterized by a range of abnormal and harmful eating behaviors which are accompanied and motivated by unhealthy beliefs, perceptions and expectations concerning eating, weight, and body shape. As a general characterization, individuals with eating disorders tend to have difficulty accepting and feeling good about themselves.

And now to eating disorders. Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are both eating disorders. Anorexia involves people who intentionally starve themselves when they are already underweight. Individuals with anorexia have a body weight that is 15 percent or more below recommended levels (as determined by a standard height-weight table). People suffering from this disorder have an intense fear of becoming fat, even when they are extremely underweight, and are usually unable to perceive their physical appearance accurately. Many females with anorexia stop having their menstrual cycle (period) for several months, a condition called amenorrhea.

By contrast, persons with bulimia nervosa consume large amounts of food during “binge” episodes in which they feel out of control of their eating. They try to prevent weight gain following such episodes by vomiting, using laxatives or diuretics, dieting or exercising aggressively. Persons with bulimia, like those with anorexia, are very dissatisfied with their shape and weight, and their self-esteem is unduly influenced by their appearance. To receive a formal diagnosis of bulimia nervosa, an individual must engage in binging and purging (vomiting, etc.) at least twice a week for three months. However, less frequent episodes of binging and purging may still be very upsetting and require professional assistance.

Ok this was from a website, which is kinda obvious cause my english will never be this good. But still, the effort that counts! Ok now after reading (and copying and pasting from websites), it is my turn to give my comments!

We eat everyday, and erm what we eat and our lifestyles determine our body shape. But what some of my friends told me that, example for people like me, NO MATTER HOW MUCH U EAT U WUN GET FAT, IT'S UR GENES! i dun rilli noe much abt that, but generally i think eating and living right will help u in better management of ur health. I learnt from last year Home Econs that when u eat a certain amount of food, u need to exercise a certain amount in order to burn off the fats and get nutrients in the most appropriate proportion. I always believed that the reason im so skinny, is because i eat little, and exercise a lot. I dun have a car (so does my parents) , and so i walk to school everyday. I suppose that contributes to my daily workout, too. And when im having my table tennis training, i tend to sweat a lot. Hence i would like to conclude that my body shape now is due to my lifestyle and my eating habits. Oops and not forgeting, i always have no appetite and sometimes skip lunch. Yes thats bad, dun learn.

So in conclusion, i will try to eat more in future. And i also hope that this post serves useful to people who took the time to read (yea it's long), especially for females. So i wanna wish u people out there, have a happy diet!

it's posting time again! i dun tink im gonna do abt nuts, and instead abt the soccer match i watched on saturday (yea, yesterday) it was a wonderful experience, and i tot i should share it

it was a once in a lifetime, once in a blue moon chance tat i got to watch this soccer match. or shld i say fate. there was an extra ticket, and i juz decided to go. for experience and learning sake. oh yea and to support singapore, of course. special thanks to hong kai who queue for the tickets, and everyone for giving me the chance to go! tt bros

there was a slight drizzle when we got there, but it din dampen our spirits. i had nv been to a live soccer match before, so i was rather interested. we got one of the highest seats, but it wasnt the best seats (the best seats are at grand stand, aha!), but we were still able to get a nice view

it was pretty sad for m'sia, coz they haf to play on with our singaporeans jeering. but nick enlightened me and told me that "is like that one, if u play away, u will haf disadvantage" now, introducing some one sitting behind us, was a chinese, whom i want to name him Vulgar.

from his name, u can tell his character. some of the jokes i like from him was:
1) they were playing the malaysia national anthem and he was "OFF THE TECHNO AND SIT DOWN LA"
2)it was during the extra time and he went "OI IS 15MINS NOT 55MINS LA"
3)when it was malaysia's goal kick he shout " BUA DO, BUA DO" (means fall down)and the keeper rilli did, but of coz not when he shouted

the atmosphere was kinda tense, expecially when malaysia got a bloody tyco ball in ffs, and our keeper nv see and i saw the ball slowly roll over the damn line. everything seems like it juz paused. not many pple saw tat goal coz the ball merely went over the goal line by a cm, and we could only see the malaysians jumping around. yea i turned my head around 180 degrees behind me and i see it was 1-0

whew, luckily at the last 15min singapore got in a goal to equalise. woots if not for that goal i tink i can go back at 10 liao. it made the match more exciting, more drama, and more lively. it shows singaporeans patriotism, and tats where i like it. when singapore got a goal, there was a sudden urge for all of us to stand up uniformly and cheer like mad!

if getting an equaliser was alr so chaotic, imagine during the penalty shoot out. come on la the singaporeans were still jeering at the msians when they were taking the shot. on the 5th penalty our keeper managed to save the shot, and he turned from a loser to a winner. that marked the end of the match

NO! HAVEN END YET! GOING HOME WAS JUZ AS EXCITING! (2nd half of the story)

we went home, walk walk walk, and we actually walked to city hall area near parkroyal hotel. at first wei bin told me and nick we walking wrong way, but i nv listen to him coz i tot following the big crowd and u will nv go wrong. but i was wrong.

we were at kallang. we ended at city hall. our hse at bedok, tampines,pasir ris. see the connections? we walked along the expressway all along and we were wrong. but tat wasnt the punishment.

we got stuck outside the hotel aft midnight. we thought if we book a cab, the moment we go in its 7.50. how uneconomical can tat be. but there werent any more taxi. and the last resort was to ask nick to come and fetch us. in his parents car of coz.

gee and i was still thinking of staying outside the hotel for the night. i rilli wanna thank nick for sending me bk home, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY DOORSTEP FFS. nick is the kindest man on earth.

so, that was the end of the day. din noe if it was worth it, but got free poster, so, oh well

ahh what shld i post again? laments? boring life? endless hw? nah

today i juz wanna share about righteousness. yes devotion

to me, righteousness is about being morally upright, doing the right things, and stand up for what is right. righteousness is not easy to perfect, but we can all try to work towards righteousness. i believe all of us had been un-righteous for a reason or another. but look, human err (whatever it is spelt), so it's even more important for us to err less. but we shld not use this as an excuse to commit offences.

ahh how wonderful it is to be righteous. to be away from all evil, all bad things, and being morally upright. is this the life that we want? of coz everyone hopes to be righteous, but it ain't easy brother. u gotta watch ur words (means no vulgarities, wei bin), watch ur actions (keeping ur fingers to urself), and watch ur ATTIRE( shirt tuck out = push ups)

so how are we gonna go about being righteous? juz in little small things we do i guess. like helping some one in his hw, teaching some one dota, in fact anything, juz dun do anything bad. like lieing, cheating, scamming. to me, not doing bad things is being righteous.

so how about u? how do u go about being righteous? START BEING RIGHTEOUS TODAY, AND U WILL LIVE IN A DIFFERENT SPECTRUM OF LIGHT. sry i dun even noe wad that means. =O

hi guys =D i made so many blogs in my lifetime i din noe this is number wad..so here's my first post! (apart from balls rolling one)

mmm school started..and im in a class wif alot of tt guys, quite many badminton guys, many bball girls and a little rojak here and there..sgyy test juz over, so wooo

and probably i duno how many pple are reading this, so i wanna wish pple who took the efforts to read this post HAPPY NEW YEAR, HAF A GREAT START IN THE NEW YEAR, hope ur studies is the best, good lucks pwns the rest, and pass all ur tests! =DD

i love this new blog..coz it got a lion..and when i see the cute lion..it makes me think of demon witch in dota (sry, non-dota-ers) juz a quick intro to demon witch: has a beard, holds a shield and a hammer, and got a powerful little finger..ok tats all
